I built simprob because I needed it myself. I am on probation, and I kept forgetting to call the daily drug testing hotline. More than once, I woke up the next morning in a panic, called my PO, and had to explain that I had forgotten. More than once is enough. So I wrote a service that calls the hotline for me, presses the right menu option, records the message, transcribes it, and sends it to my phone and email. I can be forgetful. I needed one less thing to carry in my head every day.
Since using it, I have slept better because that daily call is no longer hanging over me. The service does what I built it to do: it checks the hotline and sends me the result so I can act on it. Then it hit me that I probably was not the only person who needed this. Everyone forgets eventually, and on probation, forgetting is not a small mistake. A missed UA is a dirty UA. A dirty UA is a violation. Your PO does not get to simply ignore that and move on. Judges may not care that you forgot, but simprob can help make sure the information gets to you before forgetting becomes the reason you are back in front of one.
